Mathews out for 199 as Sri Lanka post 397 in Chattogram

At the first innings of the first Test against Bangladesh in Chattogram, Sri Lanka produced a commendable 397.

Angelo Mathews, who produced a remarkable innings, fell short of his second double century in Test cricket today.

He was the final batter of the game, scoring 199 runs off a Nayeem Hasan delivery.

In his lengthy innings, Mathews blasted 19 home runs and six doubles.

Dinesh Chandimal, who hit 66 runs, ably backed him.

For the fifth wicket, the partnership scored 133 runs.

Kusal Mendis scored 54 runs yesterday after captain Dimuth Karunaratne chose to bat first.

Hasan ended with 6/105 for Bangladesh, while Shakib Al Hasan got 3/60.
