Nayeem Hasan’s participation in the second Sri Lanka Test is in doubt.

Bangladesh has suffered another setback with the injury of off-spinner Nayeem Hasan, who will miss the second Test against Sri Lanka.

Nayeem fractured his right hand’s middle finger while fielding his own bowling, and an X-ray revealed that the finger was shattered.

Habibul Bashar, BCB selector, has stated that he will most likely be unavailable for the second Test against Sri Lanka.

He stated that they will have a greater understanding of the degree of his injuries.

Bangladesh is already missing Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan due to injury, while their star left-arm bowler Shoriful Islam has been ruled out due to a wrist injury.

Nayeem took six wickets in the first innings but had little time to celebrate his return after a 15-month absence owing to this ailment.
